One day, you find a magic laptop. It'll grant you any car you want, so long as you can find a commercial for it online - and not just an advertisement but an actual, legitimate commercial from the manufacturer. The laptop will let you browse, but you only get one final 'click' and then the car is yours... forever . Why? Just so you can't exploit the poor, magical laptop for resale value. Go for it.

Never has a car needed more guts to drive. It's still fast even today. When it came out it was a literal rocket ship

Yeah, even the 260 cars in '63-'64 had a fantastic hp/lbs ratio. The 427 cars must have seemed otherworldly in 1965. And unlike today's hyper-cars that are extremely safe with computer controlled everything and can most likely be crashed with no harm to you but your ego, get in a serious wreck in a Cobra and you probably die.

Most light sports cars back then had way less HP!
For a modern sports car to feel like the 427 did back then it would need to have 900 HP :)
